On Friday, we got a sneak peek of the new KFC & Taco Bell restaurant in Sebastian after their renovations, which started right after Thanksgiving.

The restaurant now has all new plants, flowers, paint, and logos on the outside. It looks so different, walking up to this restaurant. The colors and signs make a huge difference.

The restaurant decided to do away with Pizza Hut. Now, they are only serving KFC and Taco Bell.

We were greeted by the KFC/Taco Bell manager Michelle Lea, who moved here from Fort Lauderdale about six months ago. She is very excited about the reopening of the restaurant with lots of new staff.

“We are reopening tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.,” Lea told Sebastian Daily. The reopening is on Saturday, December 21st, at 9:00 a.m.

The complete upgrade includes new walls, floor, ceiling decor, and furniture that will grab your attention as you enter the dining room.

When you first walk in, it looks very inviting. It’s a place you want to sit down and dine. The floors have a wood look with new tables and counter.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t take any photos because they want everyone to be surprised during the reopening on Saturday.

One side is decorated with KFC decor, complimented with Colonel Sanders photos. The other side is decorated like a Taco Bell. It really looks nice!

Two years ago, we published an editorial on Sebastian Daily about how bad the restaurant was, including cleanliness, service, and food. The following day, we received a call from Anthony Gianino, Vice President of Marketing for KBP Foods.

“I thank you for writing the story as it created a greater sense of urgency around this restaurant. We have a plan to make it one of which the community will be proud,” Gianino told Sebastian Daily following the editorial.

Since then, the company informed us of their progress and when the renovations would begin. It took them a while to design the remodel and pull the permits.

We believe this restaurant is going to be another local hotspot in Sebastian. The company kept its word and made the changes to better our local KFC/Taco Bell.

Again, the reopening is on Saturday, December 21st, at 9:00 a.m.
