This is an update on coronavirus cases in Indian River County and Brevard County, Florida.

Please support our local small businesses in Sebastian as they are putting many people back to work.

Our area continues to look good with low numbers! Please continue to follow the CDC guidelines. Practice social distancing and wear a mask.

Local:

  • Sebastian: 9 cases
  • Fellsmere: 1 case
  • Palm Bay: 46 cases
  • Malabar: 1 case
  • Grant-Valkaria: 1 case
  • Barefoot Bay: 1 case
  • Micco: 0 cases
  • Vero Beach: 77 cases

Indian River County has a population of 154,000. The patients are 49 men and 38 women between the ages of 8 to 94.

Indian River County Coronavirus Cases

  • Cases: 99 (11 non-residents)
  • Deaths: 8
  • Tested Negative: 1,944
  • Hospitalizations: 24
  • Awaiting Results: 51

Brevard County has a population of 590,000. The patients are 151 men and 159 women between the ages of 1 to 94.

Brevard County Coronavirus Cases

  • Cases: 319 (9 non-residents)
  • Deaths: 8
  • Tested Negative: 10,785
  • Hospitalizations: 48
  • Awaiting Results: 1

The total number of cases, deaths, and people who have tested negative in Florida.

Florida

  • Cases: 37,439 (947 non-Florida residents)
  • Deaths: 1,471
  • Tested Negative: 428,252
  • Hospitalizations: 6,630

So far, the new cases in Florida peaked on April 2nd at 1,292 and April 3rd with 1,314 cases.

Sebastian

Cleveland Clinic, Indian River Hospital, is providing drive-through testing by appointments from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. To make an appointment, call the hospital at 772-226-4846.

For now, if you are 65 or older, or have an illness or chronic condition, please stay home.

If you need need groceries or other items delivered to your home, call Blue River Delivery at 772-643-6880.
