SEBASTIAN – Police are still investigating a carjacking case that took place at the KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut restaurant on Monday in Sebastian.

An employee said she was carjacked at about 10 a.m. after a man jumped into the passenger seat and ordered her to drive north on U.S. Highway 1.

The incident happened while she was taking an undisclosed amount of money from the restaurant to the bank, according to Sebastian Police Commander John Blackledge.

When the vehicle reached Grant, the man kicked her out of the vehicle in front of a convenience store and drove off with the money.
