SEBASTIAN – A lot of people are experiencing problems with Facebook being down after the social media company reported an outage. There are also problems with Instagram.

“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible,” Facebook said in a statement Wednesday afternoon.

Page owners are having difficulties posting status updates, as well as personal pages.

This morning, most people received an error message that read “Facebook is down for maintenance” message when they tried to log in. Over time, that message turned into multiple error messages because of the Facebook outage.

On Sebastian Daily’s Facebook page, there’s a problem with some people commenting on news stories, or using the LIKE button. We’ve been aware of this throughout the day and are just waiting on Facebook.

We also tried publishing a photo to Sebastian Daily’s Instagram account, but it failed to upload. However, we were able to post some of our news stories to our Facebook page from our website.

For now, we wait.
