Overall, we did alright with the rain this past week in Sebastian, Florida. Most of the severe thunderstorms hit Thursday afternoon and overnight.

The weekend weather is looking excellent for Sebastian, but we have to get through Friday as there will be a few thunderstorms this afternoon.

Friday’s high reached 88 degrees in Sebastian with sunny skies. There’s a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms moving from the south after 1:00 p.m. The winds will be southeast around 10 mph; the overnight low will be 76.

Saturday we’ll have a high near 90 degrees with mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows will be around 75.

Sunday will again be hot with a high near 90, and an overnight lows near 75.

Be careful if you are planning on being outdoors this weekend as the heat index is expected to be near 103.

Monday is expected to be much of the same, but the rain may be returning on Tuesday. We’ll have another forecast on Tuesday.
