SEBASTIAN – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has issued a bulletin to Fellsmere and Sebastian residents about the I-95 Exit 156/CR-512 ramp closure during night hours.

Weather-permitting, ramp closures at I-95 Exit 156/CR 512 are planned January 3 and 4, 2018 overnights for construction activities related to the I-95 widening project from just north of Exit 147/SR 60 to the Indian River/Brevard County line.

On January 3 and 4, 2018, the entrance and exit ramps to northbound and southbound I-95 at Exit 156/CR 512 will be closed nightly between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. for paving. The alternate backup dates for the ramp closures are January 8 and 9. The schedule of closures are as follows:

January 3: The northbound exit ramp at Exit 156/CR 512 will be closed. Motorists will exit at Exit 147/State Road 60 and head west to CR 512. The southbound entrance ramp at Exit 156/CR 512 will be closed. Motorists will be detoured along CR 512 to SR 60 to enter I-95 at Exit 147.

January 4: The northbound entrance ramp from CR 512 will be closed, which is not shown in the picture above. Motorists will follow the detour from CR-512 to Babcock Street to enter I-95 at Malabar Road. The southbound exit ramp at Exit 156/CR-512 will be closed. Motorists will exit at Exit 175/Malabar Road and follow the detour from Babcock Street to CR 512.

We’ll report any further updates from FDOT.
