SEBASTIAN — The City of Sebastian has extended the closure of the Capt. Robert Hardee Main Street Boat Ramp through Saturday, Nov. 7, because of poor weather conditions and a necessary change in the dewatering process.
City officials said the extra time is required to complete improvements to the ramp. They apologized for the delay and the inconvenience it may cause.
“We apologize for the extended closure and understand the inconvenience this may cause,” the city said. “Thank you for your patience as we work to improve the boat ramp.”
The Yacht Club Boat Ramp remains open and operational and is available as an alternative while the work continues.
The Main Street ramp, at Main Street and Indian River Drive, provides public access to the Indian River Lagoon.
