SEBASTIAN — The Recycling Club is collecting school supplies throughout July to help North Indian River County teachers and families.
Donations can include sandwich-size zip-lock baggies, quart-size zip-lock baggies, gallon-size zip-lock baggies, rulers, card stock, glue sticks, erasers, crayons, ruled paper, scissors, file folders, compasses, protractors, pencils, pencil sharpeners, dry-erase markers, highlighters, 1-inch binders, colored pencils, magic markers, permanent markers, other school supplies, and even pennies.
They will deliver any requested supplies to North Indian River County schools as needed through spring break 2027. After that, any remaining items will be given to new teachers, starting with elementary schools and moving up to higher grades.
The effort supports the club’s ongoing mission to keep school supply lists smaller and to provide scholarships for students, families, school staff and the community.
