JD’s Corner Diner, located in the Roseland Plaza, is open for breakfast and lunch. A lot of people in Sebastian enjoy their food, so we decided to check out a couple of their lunch entrees for this review.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by one of the waitresses and seated right away. She took our drink orders and promptly handed us menus.
JD’s Corner Diner’s menu is simple to read, pleasant, and not overwhelming. There were so many choices for lunch, and I had a difficult time choosing between the Ultimate Club or the Chicken Club.
I went with the Ultimate Club, which is served on Texas Toast, with Swiss & American cheese, ham, bacon, turkey, lettuce, tomato, & mayonnaise. It also comes with a side of sliced pickles. The price for this club is $9.95.
As the food arrived, I was impressed by its presentation. The club looked so good, and I was ready to give it a try. It had fresh lettuce and tomato, and the bacon was cooked just the way I like it. The Swiss and American cheese combination was tasty, and the ham and turkey were full of flavor. The bread complemented the sandwich.
I recommend the Ultimate Club to anyone. The only thing I’ll complain about was the amount of mayonnaise they had on the sandwich. So, make sure you ask for a light spread of mayonnaise if you don’t want a lot on your club.
- Pros: Very fresh, large, tasty club.
- Cons: Too much mayonnaise.
My wife ordered the Chicken Salad that comes with mixed salad greens, tomatoes, red onion cucumber, boiled eggs, cheddar cheese, and of course, chicken. She was very pleased with the salad.
She ordered the large portion for $9.49.
- Pros: Very fresh & large portion.
- Cons: None.
The dining room at JD’s Corner is a bit small, but comfortable. They turn tables fast, and like I said before, their service is good.
They are open Thursday through Tuesday from 7:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. and closed on Wednesday.
JD’s Corner Diner is located at 13600 US Hwy 1, Suite #7, in Sebastian.
