
VERO BEACH – The body of a Vero Beach teen was found in the Indian River Lagoon after a boating accident Sunday morning.
At 11:00 a.m., a 15-year-old boy was thrown from a boat but did not come back to the surface.
After a search by the Indian River County Fire Rescue, Coast Guard, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the Vero Beach Police Department confirmed the 15-year-old boy’s body was discovered Sunday afternoon.
The boy was thrown into the water when the boat he was riding in hit a wave while towing another person on a wakeboard, according to sources.
