Florida COVID-19 Cases Rise, Record Number of Tests, No Changes in Sebastian

The statewide number of cases continue to rise, but everything remains the same in Sebastian, Florida.

We will talk more about these numbers this afternoon on our Sebastian Daily Newscast.

As we’ve said repeatedly, we are going to see the numbers increase as Florida reopens, and more people are being tested than ever before.

Yesterday, there were 1,433 new cases in Florida, the highest it’s ever been. However, 54,950 people tested negative for the virus.

Barefoot Bay now has 2 cases, up from 1. It was 1 case for about three months. Vero Beach up 2 cases since yesterday.

There are no new hospitalizations in Indian River County, which is a great sign. No new COVID-19 related deaths. So far, all patients have been between the ages of 65 and 93 years old in the county.

Please wash hands regularly, wear masks when in public (especially stores), and social distance. The best thing you can do is stay home if you feel uncomfortable going out.
