Vero Beach – There’s plenty of Vero Beach Christmas events going on during the next 14 to 20 days during the month of December. Most of these Christmas activities are happening on the weekend in Vero Beach, and some are taking place downtown.

Christmas in Vero at Historic Dodgertown: This one-night event is based on old-fashioned traditions. Enjoy walking by various vendors and have your picture taken with Santa. There will be an outdoor viewing of It’s A Wonderful Life. Date: Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Call 727-481-1174 for more information.

Sunset Holiday Lights Canoe Trips: This activity involves a canoe as you watch a beautiful sunset with holiday lights in the Indian River Lagoon. This Christmas event is on multiple dates: Dec. 8, Dec. 9, Dec. 11, Dec. 12, and Dec. 13, 2016. All times are from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Book your reservations at 772-589-5050 ext 114. Santa Toy Drive Paddle: Dress up in your holiday costume or decorate your paddle craft in Christmas style for your chance to earn the award for the best decoration. Toys will be collected during this event and going to Castle. Bring toys of all ages. There are no price restrictions, but they ask that they are new and unwrapped. All paddle craft are welcome. If you don’t have a paddle board or kayak, you can rent one for a cash donation of $30. Date: Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. Call 772-444-7871 for more information. Holidays at McKee: Incredible Botanical Garden featuring thousands of twinkling lights, decorations, holiday music, Santa Claus, and a model train display that’s out of this world.
