Knights of Columbus Raise Over $5000 for The ARC of Indian River County

Council 8009 of The Knights of Columbus, in Sebastian, presented two checks to The ARC of Indian River County from funds raised with their Annual Tootsie Roll Drive Fundraiser.

They would like to give a big shout out to our community that stepped up with their donations to make this possible. Without the community backing, this Fundraiser would not have been as successful.

The Knights of Columbus would also like to thank the businesses that so graciously let them utilize their store entrances:

  • Walmart US 1 Sebastian
  • Publix US 1 & Barber Street
  • Publix 510 & 512
  • Publix US 1 Roseland
  • Dunkin Donuts US 1 & 512

The two checks given to The ARC of Indian River County, from the proceeds from this year’s Tootsie Roll Drive, totaled $5,594.85. ARC SUNUP received $ 2,797.43, and the ARC Boy Scout Troop received $2,797.42.

The Arc

The ARC of Indian River County improves the lives of individuals with special needs and their families through services, education, and advocacy.

They provide comprehensive services for more than 200 individuals with special needs, 18-years-of-age and above, and their families in Indian River County.

Their services include advocacy, behavioral services, adult day training, residential group homes, supported employment, supported living, transportation, transition (SURF), coffee houses, special scouts, youth outreach, and special events.
