SEBASTIAN — The Great Bike Bar-a-thon returns Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, for its 10th year, inviting cyclists, walkers and drivers to hop between local bars and breweries while raising money for Hibiscus Children’s Center.
What began as a casual outing among friends has grown into an annual charity ride that has raised thousands of dollars for local nonprofits.
The informal pub crawl on two wheels starts with a noon gathering at Pareidolia Brewing Company at 712 Cleveland Street. Here, the organizers will make introductions and announcements before the group moves on around 1 p.m.
Stops are scheduled as follows:
- Pareidolia Brewing Company – 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
- Mash Monkeys Brewing, 1:05 to 1:50 p.m.
- Red Fish Saloon, 2 to 2:45 p.m. (group photo)
- Captain Hiram’s, 2:50 to 3:55 p.m. (raffle and auction)
- Earl’s, 4 p.m. onward
This year’s beneficiary is Hibiscus Children’s Center, which provides safe housing, mental health services and family support for at-risk children and teens across the Treasure Coast, including programs in Indian River County.
There is no entry fee. Donations are encouraged. Event T-shirts are available by pre-order only through Aug. 30; none will be sold the day of the ride. Options include unisex crew necks, ladies’ V-necks and women’s racerback tanks for $25, plus a $150 sponsorship level.
Organizers recommend eating a solid breakfast, bringing cash for drinks and raffle tickets, carrying a water bottle and arranging safe transportation home, such as an Uber XL that can handle bikes.
