Earth Day Celebration At Sebastian’s Riverview Park

Sebastian will celebrate Earth Day at Riverview Park on Saturday, April 22, 2017.

SEBASTIAN – Celebrate Earth Day in Indian River County at Sebastian’s Riverview Park this Saturday, April 22, 2017.

There will be a gopher tortoise burrow to explore, rock painting, scavenger hunt, and the annual chalk art contest entitled “Endangered Species of the Treasure Coast.” Participants can also make a bird feeder.

Waste Management is recycling electronics and shredding residential paper from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Here’s the lineup for the introduction and entertainment:

  • 9:00 a.m. – Opening Ceremony
  • 9:30 a.m. – Zumba
  • 10:00-11:00 a.m. – Georgia Randall
  • 11:15-12:15 p.m. – Heart of Oak
  • 12:30-1:30 p.m. – Thomas Wesley Bowman
  • 1:30 p.m. – Chalk Art Awards
  • 2:00-2:30 p.m. – K9 Demonstration
  • 2:45-3:45 p.m. – Daddy Wags
  • 3:45 p.m. – Bike Giveaway

In addition, there will be a lot of great “earthy vendors” and yummy food vendors at the event.
