
SEBASTIAN – Celebrate Earth Day in Indian River County at Sebastian’s Riverview Park this Saturday, April 22, 2017.
There will be a gopher tortoise burrow to explore, rock painting, scavenger hunt, and the annual chalk art contest entitled “Endangered Species of the Treasure Coast.” Participants can also make a bird feeder.
Waste Management is recycling electronics and shredding residential paper from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Here’s the lineup for the introduction and entertainment:
- 9:00 a.m. – Opening Ceremony
- 9:30 a.m. – Zumba
- 10:00-11:00 a.m. – Georgia Randall
- 11:15-12:15 p.m. – Heart of Oak
- 12:30-1:30 p.m. – Thomas Wesley Bowman
- 1:30 p.m. – Chalk Art Awards
- 2:00-2:30 p.m. – K9 Demonstration
- 2:45-3:45 p.m. – Daddy Wags
- 3:45 p.m. – Bike Giveaway
In addition, there will be a lot of great “earthy vendors” and yummy food vendors at the event.
