Good morning, Sebastian, Florida! It’s Monday, and the rain is already making its presence felt. We were lucky to avoid the forecasted rainfall this past weekend, giving us some well-deserved sunshine. But as we transition into the workweek, prepare for a change.
This Monday, expect stronger winds than we’ve seen recently, with gusts soaring as high as 25 mph, accompanying the thunderstorms rolling into our area. The wet conditions will persist into Tuesday with similar temperatures and conditions.
As we move into Wednesday, the mercury is set to rise to 88 degrees, and we should expect even more rain. Thursday and Friday also follow the trend, with rain chances escalating and temperatures peaking at 89 degrees on Thursday before dipping slightly to 88 on Friday. Your daily lows will stay between 69 and 71 degrees throughout the week.
To all our boaters, please note that a small craft advisory is in effect through late tonight. The seas are choppy at 6 to 8 feet, with occasional surges up to 10 feet. As we move through Tuesday and Wednesday, seas will range from 3 to 5 feet, reducing further to a more manageable 2 to 3 feet by Thursday.
Regarding wind, anticipate 15 to 20-knot winds, which will lessen to 5 to 10 knots by Wednesday.
As for the upcoming weekend, it’s a bit too early to give a concrete forecast. Stay tuned, as we will provide updates later in the week.
So, Sebastian, don’t forget your umbrellas and raincoats this week! Stay safe, and we’ll keep you posted with the latest weather updates.
