SEBASTIAN — A pedestrian was fatally struck by a freight train on the eastbound portion of County Road 512 near the On the Fly area, interim Police Chief Tim Wood told Sebastian Daily.
Wood said all indications are that the incident was intentional. Sebastian police detectives worked with Florida East Coast Railway investigators on the case.
No further details, including the pedestrian’s identity or the time of the collision, were immediately released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
