The family-friendly Expo is a community event designed to educate and prepare people for various emergencies and disasters, such as hurricanes, wildfires, floods, or hazardous material incidents. The Expo is designed to help individuals and families plan for and respond to crises.
The Expo offers:
- Educational booths with tips on creating emergency kits, evacuation plans, or home safety measures.
- Demonstrations from emergency services like fire departments or paramedics.
- Free resources, such as guides, checklists, or giveaways like flashlights.
- Kid-friendly activities to engage younger attendees, like games or safety drills.
- Food and community engagement to make the event welcoming and fun.
The goal is to raise awareness, build resilience, and empower people to stay safe when disasters strike. The event is free and open to all, encouraging everyone.
