This has been a bad week for the Sebastian City Council, as councilwoman Pamela Parris is still facing heat from residents over a controversial public post calling our population “fat and obese” and our snowbirds “carpetbagger Yankees.”
Parris blames Sebastian Daily and says we hacked her Facebook account and wrote the post, which we deny. In three separate interviews with other press, she denied writing the post, but then told WPTV Channel 5 that she wrote it but didn’t mean to insult anyone. Parris then told TCPalm on Friday that her Facebook account was hacked.
Sebastian residents are asking Parris to resign or be removed immediately from the Sebastian City Council.
