Barefoot Bay Car Crash Kills One in Fiery Blaze

BAREFOOT BAY – The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of a vehicle died Tuesday night in a crash in Barefoot Bay while traveling on Draco Drive.

The crash occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. after the driver approached the four-way stop at Barefoot Bay Boulevard and continued to travel into a yard, striking a tree, according to FHP.

The car then caught fire and the driver was unable to escape, FHP said. As of Wednesday morning, the driver has not been identified.

Crime scene investigators were seen at the location this morning as FHP continues their investigation.
