The latest number of COVID-19 cases appears to be slowing down in Sebastian, Barefoot Bay, Micco, Grant, Fellsmere, and Vero Beach.

However, we still need to wash our hands, social distance, and wear a mask. These guidelines are working in Florida.

The number of deaths related to COVID-19 are still a great concern in Indian River County and Brevard County.

Local:

  • Sebastian: 271 cases
  • Barefoot Bay: 13 cases
  • Micco: 5 cases
  • Grant-Valkaria: 23 cases
  • Fellsmere: 387 cases
  • Wabasso: 8 cases
  • Vero Beach: 1,957 cases (this number also includes Vero Lake Estates and other rural areas near Vero Beach)

Indian River County Coronavirus Cases

  • Cases: 2,907
  • Deaths: 91
  • Admitted to Hospital: 243

Brevard County Coronavirus Cases

  • Cases: 7,319
  • Deaths: 201
  • Admitted to Hospital: 629

The total number of cases, deaths, and people who have tested negative in Florida.

Florida

  • Cases: 648,043
  • Deaths: 10,872
  • Currently Hospitalized: 4,400

  • 8/19 – 4,160 cases
  • 8/20 – 4,566 cases
  • 8/21 – 4,682 cases
  • 8/22 – 4,342 cases
  • 8/23 – 3,038 cases
  • 8/24 – 2,064 cases
  • 8/25 – 2,764 cases
  • 8/26 – 3,327 cases
