As Florida reopens, and as more people are getting tested, we’re going to see a rise in the number of cases.

There is one new COVID-19 related death, bringing the total to 13. We will have more information about the patient later today in our Sebastian Daily Newscast.

Overall, we are still very lucky to have low numbers in Sebastian. These numbers to tell us not to let our guard down.

Please wash hands regularly, wear masks when in public (especially stores), and social distance.

Today, Florida will begin Phase 2.

  • Sebastian: 13 cases
  • Fellsmere: 9 cases
  • Palm Bay: 62 cases
  • Malabar: 1 case
  • Grant-Valkaria: 1 case
  • Barefoot Bay: 1 case
  • Micco: 0 cases
  • Vero Beach: 120 cases

Indian River County has a population of 154,000.

Indian River County Coronavirus Cases

  • Cases: 154 (11 non-residents)
  • Deaths: 11
  • Tested Negative: 6,299
  • Hospitalization: 33

Brevard County has a population of 590,000.

Brevard County Coronavirus Cases

  • Cases: 439 (11 non-residents)
  • Deaths: 13
  • Tested Negative: 24,257
  • Hospitalization: 66

Sebastian

Cleveland Clinic, Indian River Hospital, is providing drive-through testing by appointments from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. To make an appointment, call the hospital at 772-226-4846.

For now, if you are 65 or older, or have an illness or chronic condition, please stay home. Please wear a mask if you are ill or have a health condition.
