On Tuesday, a Vero Beach woman was arrested following a traffic stop for reckless driving and resisting arrest.
According to the police affidavit, officers responded to reports by other motorists of a driver in a red Nissan Sentra operating erratically on CR-512 and Roseland Road.
Witnesses reported that the driver, later identified as Maranda Henry, 27, was weaving in and out of traffic, brake-checking other vehicles, and preventing them from passing.
Officers located Henry’s vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. However, she allegedly refused to comply with officers’ commands, including rolling down the windows and exiting the vehicle.
After a brief struggle, officers were able to remove Henry from the vehicle and place her under arrest.
Henry was accused of reckless driving but charged with resisting arrest without violence. She was transported to the Indian River County Jail.
