According to the Sebastian Police Department, residents in and around Sebastian River Landing were a target of vehicle burglaries and car thefts that occurred last Sunday night.

“We have had 14 reported vehicle burglaries and one stolen vehicle out of Sebastian River Landing,” Captain Timothy Wood of the Sebastian Police Department told Sebastian Daily.

“We also have had two additional reported vehicle burglaries outside of that development,” Wood added.

All of the burglaries are from unsecured vehicles, and police are asking residents to lock their vehicles at night.

“We are actively investigating at this time. We need our citizens to ensure their vehicles are locked at night and to immediately call the police if they see any suspicious activity and/or person(s) in their neighborhood,” said Wood.
