SEBASTIAN — A Texas Hold’em poker tournament fundraiser benefiting the Road Warrior Foundation is set for Nov. 8 at the American Legion Post 189. All proceeds will support adventure therapy programs for veterans.
The event, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 189, will kick off with doors and a cash bar opening at 3 p.m., followed by the game starting promptly at 4 p.m. at 807 Louisiana Ave. in Sebastian.
Registration costs $50 per person if received by Nov. 5, securing a seat. After that date, entry jumps to $55 cash if seats remain available. Participants can opt for $50 re-buys during the first 90 minutes of play.
Top three winners will share in the proceeds alongside the foundation, which focuses on “adventure therapy for vets.” Food will be available for purchase from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and novice instructions begin at 3 p.m. for those new to the game.
The facility accepts cash only during the tournament, with ATMs on site.
