The American Legion Charles L. Futch Post 189 in Sebastian will be having a groundbreaking ceremony for their new building expansion on Sunday, June 27th at noon. 

There will be photo opportunities with the legion members, a tour of the post, and various raffles. The public is invited to attend. 


In addition, the post will be hosting a cash breakfast that morning from 8:00 am – 11:00 am. The tasty menu includes eggs, pancakes, and other assorted breakfast foods.  

Post 189

Post 189 was formed and organized by 41 men from Sebastian, Fellsmere, and Roseland returning from WWII. During the past 56 years, Post 189 has provided financial, emotional, and other assistance to needy veterans and has donated thousands of dollars for local scholarships to talented and deserving students within our community. 

Visit with the American Legion Post 189 members and enjoy some Sebastian heritage.
