SEBASTIAN – Ready for some rain and hot weather? Oh, it’s coming this weekend.

Things have been pretty darn hot lately in Sebastian, Fellsmere, and Vero Beach. On Thursday, the heat index topped 104!

On Friday, there will be a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms after 11 a.m., with a high near 90 degrees. Heat index values will be as high as 102. There’s a 20 percent chance of rain for Friday night with a low around 75 degrees.

Saturday will be much of the same with rain in the forecast. The high will be near 90 degrees, lows near 75.

There’s a 50 percent chance of rain on Sunday with a high near 89 degrees. The overnight lows will be 75.

Overall, expect HOT WEATHER this weekend with thunderstorms after 11 a.m. each day.

Drink plenty of fluids if you’re going to be outside, try to find shade, and please don’t leave your pets in the car or outside.

These are severe heat indexes that can become dangerous for you and your pets.
