Geoffrey Scott Lang, age 35, passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 25, 2026.
Geoffrey proudly served the residents of Indian River County as a Firefighter/Paramedic with Indian River County Fire Rescue. He joined the department in 2015 and was assigned to Station 9 in Sebastian, Florida. Throughout his career, he answered every call with courage, professionalism, and a genuine compassion for those in need.
His dedication to serving others left a lasting impact on his fellow firefighters, friends, and the countless lives he touched throughout the community.
Above all, Geoffrey was a devoted husband, father, son, and family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nicole Alexandra Lang; children, James Alexander Lang and Kenzie Marie Lang; his parents, William and Cindy Lang; his mother- and father-in-law, Nancy and Steve Frey; siblings, Mickey Hammock, sister-in-law Tabitha Hammock and Freddie Lee Hammock; and many extended family members, friends, and colleagues who will forever cherish his memory.
Geoffrey was predeceased by his beloved son, Jackson Elliott Lang, whom he now joins in eternal peace.
A Funeral Service celebrating Geoffrey’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Community Church, 1901 23rd Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32960.
