VERO BEACH — Oncology patients and their caregivers are invited to a free monthly cooking class designed to support healthy eating during cancer treatment.
The Scully-Welsh Cancer Center at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital will host its Oncology Teaching Kitchen session on Thursday, June 25, at 2:00 pm. Participants will learn practical meal preparation techniques under the guidance of a chef and a registered dietitian.
These sessions help patients deal with treatment side effects by focusing on good nutrition and showing them simpler ways to prepare healthy, tasty meals. Every class offers practical, hands-on ideas built around the real difficulties people face while recovering.
The program is open to oncology patients and family members. Registration is required. To sign up or for more information, call (772) 226-4908.
The cancer center is located at 3555 10th Court, in Vero Beach.
