COVID-19: Florida spikes continue, but no changes in Sebastian

Indian River County Coronavirus Cases
Indian River County Coronavirus Cases

As Florida reopens, and as more people are getting tested, we’re going to see a rise in the number of cases. As the number goes up, so does the number of people who tested negative for the virus.

While 1,269 tested positive yesterday for COVID-19 in Florida, about 39,133 people tested negative.

Fellsmere has gone up to 11 cases. There are no changes to Sebastian since yesterday.

We reported yesterday that there was one new coronavirus related death. The patient was an 84-year-old woman in Indian River County.

So far, all patients have been between the ages of 65 and 93 years old in the county.

As the state spikes, Sebastian is still doing very well. However, the state numbers tell us not to let our guard down.

Please wash hands regularly, wear masks when in public (especially stores), and social distance.
