Man Sought In Sebastian Speedway Robbery

SEBASTIAN – The Sebastian Police Department is seeking the identity of a suspect who robbed the Sebastian Speedway on U.S. 1 near Riverview Park.

The robbery took place at the gas station late Sunday night. The suspect threatened the clerk just before midnight.

Coincidently, the same suspect is believed to have robbed a store on Wickham Road in Melbourne on the same date.

“He was observed driving a light colored older model SUV,” said Sebastian police spokesman Cmdr. John Blackledge.

The suspect is believed to be about 5’6 and 30-40 years of age.
