FELLSMERE — Operation Hope is inviting families to cool off this weekend at its Splash Into Summer event Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Operation Hope, 12285 County Road 512.
This family-friendly community gathering, featuring water slides and other summer activities, is open to the public at no charge for admission; however, some attractions or activities may carry a fee.
Water slides and other water-based activities will be available, along with general summer fun for kids and adults. Event partners include The Sagi & Kiquo Experience and American Bounce and Slide.
The event is intended as a low-cost way for local families to beat the late-August heat while supporting Operation Hope’s work in Fellsmere.
Operation Hope
Operation Hope of Greater Florida Inc. is a nonprofit founded in 1997 by Jesse Zermeno to assist needy families and laborers across the state, regardless of race, color or religion.
Volunteers distribute food, clothing and household items each week and offer encouragement to those they serve. The organization also works with individual and corporate partners to improve living conditions for working families.
Each year, Operation Hope provides school supplies to about 700 children in August, delivers 800 Thanksgiving baskets and hosts a Christmas celebration where as many as 1,200 children receive toys.
