SEBASTIAN — New timing clocks have arrived at Shark Stadium after a Sebastian River High School alumnus of 1998 and local businesses raised $10,350 in less than a week, exceeding a $6,000 goal.
Less than a month ago, alumnus Bryan Rhoades posted a Facebook reel asking local business owners to help fund restoration of the school’s football time clocks.
The school ordered the new clocks on Sept. 8, and they have already arrived at the stadium.
“We are proud to say we raised $10,350 in less than a week with help from 15 other local businesses for the game clocks the Sharks desperately needed. I had the chance to go to the fields and see the game clocks, along with the banner the high school put together for the sponsors,” Rhoades told Sebastian Daily.

Rhoades worked with coaches Perry, Amy, and Phin to get the clocks.
“All we did was raise some money. We have to recognize all of the coaches, teachers, principals, and staff who are with the kids every day,” Rhoades stated.
The remaining $4,350 raised has been allocated directly to the football program.
