The Mardy Fish Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, awards the Sebastian River High School Shark Cheerleaders a check for $5,000 for new equipment.

Before receiving the very generous check, the SRHS cheerleaders didn’t know how they would be able to afford to purchase all the equipment they needed.

Cheer mats cost around $750 a piece, and it takes nine mats to build a competition floor. With this donation from the Mardy Fish Foundation

they will buy two sections of mats helping to replace some that were purchased more than 15 years ago.

In addition, they will update equipment such as flags that both their football sideline cheerleaders and two competitive cheer teams can utilize.

Mardy Fish Foundation Mission:

To provide children, particularly underserved minorities, with the opportunity to participate in safe and impactful fitness, nutritional, and enrichment programs empowering them to live healthy and productive lives.
