UPDATE: Bird has been reunited with owner! A happy ending!

Anyone missing a parakeet? Two people say they found a parakeet on a power line near the new AT&T building on U.S. Highway in Sebastian.

“We saw it on a power line, and I tried to coax it down to me. It flew down to me, and I was able to catch it. It’s obviously domesticated and belongs to somebody,” John Thomas told Sebastian Daily.

Thomas says the bird must have escaped and says it won’t live long in the wild.

“I don’t want this poor bird to die. It’s not exactly a lost dog or cat,” Thomas said.

The bird is being kept in a red bin at the moment.

If this is your bird, please email Sebastian Daily at info@SebastianDaily.com, and we’ll put you in touch with the John Thomas.
