On Friday, April 9, 2021, twenty-six puppies and dogs were found abandoned at the 4300 block of 25th St SW in Vero Beach on a dirt road. They were piled into a small wire crate without food, water, or shelter. All lethargic, dehydrated, and terrified.
Law enforcement quickly got them to the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County to ensure that they received the care they desperately needed.
They will require further medical treatment before they can be made available for adoption.
