8 Confirmed Coronavirus Cases in Indian River County

There are now eight confirmed coronavirus cases in Indian River County, health officials said.

All eight patients are residents in Indian River County, two men, and six women. Four of the cases are travel-related.

There are no deaths in the county at this time caused by COVID-19.

The average age in the Indian River County cases so far is 60. Right now, all patients are between 25 and 84 years of age.

Florida now has 830 active coronavirus cases and 12 deaths. About 1,099 people are being monitored in the state of Florida at this time.

About 7,990 Floridians tested negative for coronavirus. There are 963 cases still pending.

In the United States, there are almost 26,747 active cases of coronavirus, and 340 deaths. About 176 people have recovered.

Around the world, there are over 316,187 cases of coronavirus and nearly 14,000 deaths. About 94,175 people have recovered from the virus worldwide.

Officials announced that all Indian River County beaches will close at the end of the day Sunday amid the coronavirus pandemic.
