VERO BEACH – MedExpress Urgent Care, a neighborhood health care provider, will open a new neighborhood medical center in Vero Beach Wednesday, May 30, at 1150 U.S. Highway 1.

The Vero Beach center will offer free sports physicals to patients ages five and up May 30-June 12, 2018, to mark the opening.

“The new center in Vero Beach offers local patients, families and employees access to patient-centered care that meets their needs and busy schedules,” said Marcus DeMaiolo, Florida area manager of MedExpress. “We look forward to opening our new Vero Beach location and to providing high-quality, convenient and affordable health care to the community – one patient at a time.”

The center in Vero Beach will care for people of all ages, providing urgent care, employer health services, and basic wellness and prevention services. Walk-in treatment is available for everyday illness and injury – including treatment for common summertime injuries such as cuts, scrapes, rashes, bites, stings and burns – as well as more advanced services including X-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgery, stitches and treatment for broken bones, sprains and strains. Local employers can use MedExpress for employer health services that include workers’ compensation, injury care, pre- and ongoing employment screenings, physicals and regulatory exams. Basic wellness and prevention services available include sports physicals, routine physicals and immunizations to help Vero Beach residents maintain good health and well-being.

The Vero Beach center will have multiple exam rooms, a procedure room and an X-ray suite. The center will be open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with no appointment necessary. MedExpress accepts all major insurance plans and offers affordable pricing for people without insurance. The center will be staffed by a full medical team that includes medical providers, nurses, radiologic technologists and customer service representatives. As a local health care partner, MedExpress believes strongly in the importance of working with local health care providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. When necessary, MedExpress can help refer patients within the broader health care system, including referrals to specialists, primary care physicians and hospitals.

MedExpress has nearly 250 centers in 19 states. For a full list of health care services and locations, visit medexpress.com.
