BAREFOOT BAY — The Civic Volunteer Organization (CVO) of Barefoot Bay is hosting a meet-and-greet Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the pavilion behind Building A, 625 Barefoot Blvd., for candidates seeking two seats on the Barefoot Bay Recreation District Board of Trustees.
Three candidates have qualified for the Nov. 3 election:
- Jan Creitz
- Sydne James
- Elaine Van Berschot (Incumbent)
The five-member board oversees the special recreation district that operates amenities in the unincorporated Brevard County manufactured-home community. Trustees are unpaid volunteers elected at large to three-year terms. Only registered voters who live inside the district may vote in the race.
Light refreshments will be served.
