Sebastian Woman Fatally Hit On US Hwy 1

SEBASTIAN – The Florida Highway Patrol is on the lookout for a motorist who hit and killed a 65-year-old Sebastian woman who was walking on US Hwy 1, on Saturday night.

The accident happened just north of Sebastian at U.S. 1 and Steamboat Drive between 9:40 p.m. and midnight. The fatally injured woman was walking north on the paved shoulder of US 1, and the vehicle was heading south.

The FHP has not released the identity of the deceased woman as they are currently attempting to notify her family.

The driver involved in the accident is driving a dark green vehicle that is expected to have damage to the right side headlight.
