SEBASTIAN — For the first time in school history, the Sebastian River High School Lady Sharks softball team is advancing to the regional final after an 8-4 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday night.
The win sends the Lady Sharks into the Final Eight of the FHSAA Class 5A playoffs. They will play at 7 p.m. Thursday, with the opponent and site depending on the outcome of Wednesday’s rescheduled game between Pembroke Pines Charter and Legacy.
If Pembroke Pines wins, the Lady Sharks will travel to face them. If Legacy advances, the regional final will be played at Sebastian River’s Shark Tank.
