SEBASTIAN — The Sebastian River High School Sharks delivered a commanding team performance Tuesday night, defeating the Palm Bay Pirates 24-14 in a hard-fought game at Palm Bay.
Running back Nene Rosado spearheaded the offensive attack with two touchdowns. Kicker Gabriel Rivera, making his first varsity appearance, remained composed under pressure, converting all three point-after-touchdown attempts and adding a pivotal three-point conversion.
Defensive back Ahmari Marshall shifted momentum decisively with an interception returned for a touchdown, hauling in the errant pass and racing untouched into the end zone to help secure the victory.
Quarterback AJ Gribble, an incoming senior, and Aun Qizilbash, an incoming sophomore, orchestrated the offense effectively with precise passing and rapid decision-making that sustained drives throughout the evening.
The Sharks’ offensive and defensive lines also earned recognition for their dominance in the trenches, controlling the line of scrimmage and establishing the physical tone that proved decisive.
The future looks bright for the Sharks this 25-26 school year!
