Mother’s Day Brunch at American Legion
American Legion Riders Chapter 189, located at 807 Louisiana Ave, will have a Mother’s Brunch on May 9, 2021, from 11:00 am till 2:00 pm. Open to the public. It will include prime rib, ham, and shrimp.

Blackfins Riverfront Grill Celebrating Mother’s Day
Blackfins Riverfront Grill at Capt Hirams Resort will celebrate Mother’s Day with special menu items on Mother’s Day, including delicious island-style favorites, such as crab cakes, conch fritters, fish tacos, and local saltwater peel n’ eat shrimp. Reservations are encouraged but not required.

- Prosciutto Wrapped Shrimp – Jumbo shrimp broiled with white wine and garlic $13
- Baked Stuffed Mushrooms – Baked mushrooms with sweet Italian sausage stuffing, garlic butter, and parmesan cheese $12
- Seafood Bisque – Velvety smooth, rich, creamy bisque with fresh shrimp and crab $5 cup or $7 bowl

- Roasted Stuffed Pork Loin – Tenderloin roasted and stuffed with garlic, spinach, roasted red peppers, provolone cheese with a rosemary demi-glaze. Served with mashed potatoes and veggies. $18
- Capt’s Chicken Saute – Seasoned cutlets, pan-seared and topped with prosciutto, roasted red peppers, mozzarella cheese with lemon pepper basil sauce. Served with mashed potatoes and veggies. $16
- Crab Encrusted Grouper – Crab cake blend, atop a grouper filet, baked with panko crumbs, topped off with key lime beurre blanc. Served with mashed potatoes and veggies.
