Greg Scot Gustafson of Sebastian, Florida, was born July 14, 1950, and died September 13, 2026.
Known as “Goog” to his beloved family, he was an inspiration to all he knew. He was well-read and often referred to as “the walking encyclopedia.”
After high school, Goog attended NEI, where his instructors called him “Mr. Electronics.” He served in the United States Air Force in security. While stationed in Taiwan, he often spoke with the U.S. president. He was a ham radio operator.
He lived in Mound, Minnesota, and died in Sebastian, Florida, where he lived with his sister, Jan. He could often be seen in his white shirt and straw hat as he carried 5-gallon jugs of water. He loved to walk.
Goog is sorely missed by all who loved him.
Things he lived by:
- Humble your ego before God.
- Never hate your enemies; understand them to defeat them.
- Kindness counters stress.
- Be scientifically skeptical, even of your own thoughts.
- Learn new things and try new things daily.
- Relax and laugh, for all is comedy or tragedy.
