Florida new COVID-19 cases drop nearly 50 percent, Sebastian has 46, Fellsmere 176

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Florida has dropped nearly 50 percent since Saturday. The number of deaths related to the coronavirus continue to drop. However, we are not out of the woods yet.

Starting today, June 29 2020, all workers in unincorporated areas of Indian River County are required to wear a masks in stores.

COVID-19 is still a serious pandemic in Florida and should be taken seriously.

Sebastian officials will decide this week if masks become mandatory in the city, according to City Manager Paul Carlisle.

Please wear a mask when in stores, wash your hands regularly, and practice social distancing.

Local:

  • Sebastian: 46 cases
  • Fellsmere: 176 cases
  • Palm Bay: 290 cases
  • Malabar: 8 cases
  • Grant-Valkaria: 7 cases
  • Barefoot Bay: 5 cases
  • Micco: 0 cases
  • Wabasso: 2 case
  • Vero Beach: 414 cases (this number also includes Vero Lake Estates and other rural areas near Vero Beach)

Indian River County has a population of 154,000.

  • Deaths: 16
  • Hospitalization: 57

Brevard County has a population of 590,000.

Brevard County Coronavirus Cases

  • Cases: 1,788
  • Deaths: 17
  • Hospitalization: 111

For now, if you are 65 or older, or have an illness or chronic condition, please stay home. Please wear a mask if you are ill or have a health condition.
