There will be a Color Our World Cancer Free Walk on Saturday, October 16, 2021, under the oaks at the Administration Building in Barefoot Bay, located at 625 Barefoot Blvd. Registration starts at 8:30 am, and the walk begins at 9:30 am.

The themed walk, hosted by the Civic Volunteer Organization of Barefoot Bay and Barefoot Bay Recreation District, recognizes all forms of cancer.

The walk will be along the path under the oaks at the Administration Building for as many laps as you would like to go, then there will be a party at the pavilion behind Building A.

There will be music, activities, raffles, games, a 50/50, and prizes awarded to the team and individual who raise the most money.

Costumes & Instruments

Participants are encouraged to come out in their outrageous costumes in the colors of cancer that have touched their lives. In addition, everyone is encouraged to bring musical instruments, bells, whistles, etc., to make joyful noise.

JoAnne’s Jaunt

The walk is named “JoAnne’s Jaunt,” after JoAnne Diana. She was the Honorary Chair for the Sea of Pink 2019. Sadly, she lost her battle in October of 2020.

Registration

For more info, call the Barefoot Bay CVO at (772) 663-0633. They will help you register as a team or sign up as an individual. Registration packets are available at the CVO office located at 935 Barefoot Blvd. Monday – Friday from 10 am to 2 pm.
