HALO's monthly "ARTISANS AT THE MALL" Arts & Crafts Event presents Find a Lucky Duck at the Indian River Mall.

VERO BEACH – On Saturday, August 4th, put on your walking shoes and search for a Lucky Duck at the Indian River Mall.

Lucky Ducks will be hidden throughout the common area of the Mall to celebrate H.A.L.O.’S monthly “ARTISANS AT THE MALL” Arts & Crafts Event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Each Lucky Duck is tagged to redeem for free raffle tickets as part of the event. Choose from over 25 creative and spectacular raffle prizes at H.A.L.O.’S “Raffle Donation Station” located near the fountain area of the Mall and the H.A.L.O. Adoption Center (tucked between Victoria’s Secret and Sears).

Additional raffle tickets can be purchased at $1 each or 6 for $5, with all the proceeds going to support the efforts of H.A.L.O. No-Kill Rescue. It will be a great weekend to shop at the Indian River Mall and “Artisans at the Mall” as it’s tax-free weekend! Perfect for back to school shopping and finding lots of treasures handmade by over 50 local artisans participating in this fast-growing event!

There’s something for everyone…from hand-carved wood pieces, clothing, artwork, pet blankets, jewelry, shell d├ęcor, windchimes, and so much more.

H.A.L.O. Animal Rescue has also partnered with Love of Paws for a cat food drive which continues through September. Donations of cat food (wet or dry) can be dropped off at the H.A.L.O. Adoption Center in the Mall during the event. Purina or Friskies brand is preferred, but all cat food will be graciously accepted.

Kitten season at HALO!
Kitten season at HALO!

With kitten season in full swing, be sure to stop by and visit the cute and cuddly kittens who are waiting to love and be loved in their furever home. Many beautiful cats are also available for adoption, including “Moose” and “Nitro”. Be sure to ask for those two by name for a real treat. Bring the whole family to this fun-filled event!

H.A.L.O. is Indian River County’s only no-kill, non-profit animal rescue and adoption center. It is with the support of the community that H.A.L.O. can continue with its efforts to save
the lives of hundreds of animals each year.
