VERO BEACH – A 31-year-old victim was shot after a disturbance inside The Grove Bar, which led to another altercation outside of the Vero Beach establishment.

The Vero Beach Police Department has identified the victim, Stephan Andrew Capak, who was transported Friday to a local area hospital for treatment after the shooting.

Capak is co-owner of The Grove Bar.

As previously reported by Sebastian Daily, the shooting occurred in the parking lot at around 1:52 a.m. Friday. Capak remains at the hospital, and his condition is unknown at this time.

“Detectives have interviewed and are continuing to interview all possible involved parties, witnesses, and bar patrons. No arrests have been made at this time,” Police spokeswoman Officer Anna Carden said.

“This case remains an ongoing investigation and the information will be updated as it becomes available,” Carden added.

Police are urging anyone with any information on this incident to call the Vero Beach Police Department Detective Division (772) 978-4660. Should you wish to remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.00, you may also contact Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-TIPS (8477).
