SEBASTIAN — The Sebastian Police Department will host its annual Community Night Out on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Riverview Park.
The family event gives residents a chance to meet officers and community partners who help keep Sebastian a safe place to live. Local, state, and federal law enforcement officers will be on hand with equipment and vehicles. The evening will also include demonstrations, local vendors, and food and beverages available for purchase.
Community Night Out is part of a broader initiative inspired by National Night Out, an annual nationwide campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
The event is meant to make communities safer and more cohesive by encouraging open dialogue and trust between residents and law enforcement.
Attendees can meet officers from the Sebastian Police Department, Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, Fellsmere Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol, Indian River Fire Rescue, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Police motorcycles, patrol boats, and helicopters will be on display, giving visitors a look at equipment used in daily operations and emergency response.
