Sebastian Police Department Warns Residents of Auto Burglaries

There has been an increase in auto burglaries in Sebastian and the surrounding areas, according to the Sebastian Police Department.

They are asking Sebastian residents to make sure to keep your vehicles locked at all times. In several of these burglaries, the thieves were looking for car keys or key fobs to steal the cars.

Tips to remember:

  • Lock your doors
  • Close all windows
  • Remove visible items
  • Park in a safe & well-lit area
  • Take your keys inside with you

  • Lieutenant Timothy Wood for 10 Years of Service with the Sebastian Police Department – Lieutenant Wood reached this milestone on July 6th, 2020. He is recognized for his dependability, his intelligence, and his leadership at the Sebastian Police Department.

    Sergeant Finnegan reached this milestone on June 1st, 2020. He is recognized for his determination, team spirit, and dedication to the Sebastian Police Department.
  • Corporal Bill Jursik’s 25 Years of Service with the SPD.
    Corporal Jursik reached this milestone on April 24th, 2020. He is recognized for his teamwork, unwavering dedication to this department, and commitment to the City of Sebastian.
